Useless Vodacom Contract Cancellation Process.

I don’t think they even deserve one star for the way in which they have dealt with the cancellation of a contract we have with them. We recently moved to Perth. Luckily my father in law helped us by going into Vodacom numerous times to get a cancellation quote. This all because there call Centre for cancellation is so poor. And you can’t get hold of them by email either. Anyway he got the quote on 27 January 2020. We paid the quote on 28 January 2020. My father in law took the quote along with the receipt to Vodacom. He gave it to one of the managers. The manager said great thank you all done. Now I see they have debited my account again. They have a monopoly on the mobile industry and have people phoning all the time to sign up to new products which is so easy. But their cancellation process is so onerous. I wonder if that is for a reason?

It is with the cooperation and feedback from valued clients such as yourself that we are able to identify any areas of improvement within our organisation. As per ***, our records indicate that the contract has been cancelled. Also note that the premature cancellation quote does not include the current months invoice. The query has now been resolved. Regards Consumer Website Team
