Useless, thieving Vodacom

This is the second review I've had to write for this issue. Even after a Vodcom customer care person contacted me after seeing the previous review, the best I could get wwas an explanation that VODACOM made a mistake on their premature cancellation quote and then absolute silence. I have now spoken to about 20 people at Vodacom and am yet to find someone who will take initiative and ownership, concede that Vodacom made a mistake and go about getting my refund.

Three months ago I prematurely cancelled my contract. I paid the premature cancellation fee that was quoted, which was apparently the wrong figure. I have continued to be billed for a line I am not using and am still being billed on a monthly basis. I've received pathetic excuses like my using a lower-case "r" in the email address to which I sent my documentation and been passed along between Accounts and Cancellations as I have to repeat my whole story each time.

I am absolutely fed up. I just want to run away from this issue, but Vodacom are still *****ing money from me. Can anybody advise me how on Earth I get someone to acknowledge that Vodacom made a mistake, that I did nothing wrong and get my refund.

I would like to add that Vocadom has still done nothing about this issue. The response above states that I would be contacted. No contact has been made. It has taken such a long time to get my premature cancellation processed now, that it is no longer premature. I guess I need to let my contract expire at the end of this month and kiss my money good-bye. A very upsetting end to my relationship with this company, I will certainly never recommend anyone to take a Vodacom contact.

Now, if only someone on the call centre will pick up my call so I can instruct them to let my contract expire.
