Useless support

So seeing as Vodacom is ignoring my post, I will keep on posting until someone resolves my issues. And they lie on Hellopeter that the issue has been resolved, yet nobody has contacted me.

So I recently decided to apply for Vehicle financing and to my surprise, I ended up getting a very bad interest rate. I asked my banker to explain the reason for this and responded by stating that I have not paid my Vodacom account for the last year. This is where it gets quite fun, as I do not have an active Vodacom contract. I have not had one for more than 2 years. In return, I pulled a credit report from Transunion, and low and behold, Vodacom is listed there with a R0 balance and an installment outstanding since July 2018. So this is where my Friday became extremely fun. I phoned Vodacom and after getting ping ponged between different people, one consultant in the accounting department said, that my balance is indeed R0, but the person that was suppose to settle and close my account so many years ago, never did it.

So Vodacom has cost me thousands of rands due to incorrect interest rates that has been provided to me via personal loans, credit cards etc. because of a mistake that they made. The best part is, according to the consultant, they cannot provide me with a recording of my phone call, due to technical issues (For the lack of a better word) and that they will send through the settlement letter at some point today. Not only has this cost me a lot of money, I might not be able to buy the car that I want to buy because of them. So guys, please check your credit history and beware of Vodacom. I can also see, that this has happened to other people as well.
