Useless Service

My sister and I went to the Vodacom Shop in East Rand Mall to move a contract from my name to my sister's. I also opened up another contract for another phone in my name. After waiting for about 3 to 4 hours to go through this process, all seemed fine.

After being promised (after specifically asking) that all is sorted and that the debit order amount will be correct for the month of March with the new contract on my name and the other contract on my sister's name, we left with the new phone hoping that there will no problems, but still not being sure as we have never left a Vodacom store without having to go back again and again due to something or the other not being done correctly or properly by the staff/system/etc etc.

Obviously, the end of the month came and the "transferred" contract still went off my account. My sister then receives a statement for the full amount for March as well as April. On this statement there is also an amount for the once-off fee which was already paid on the day.

Over and above that, my original contract was package a bundle deal that included a tablet with 250MB per month. This sim card was NEVER activated. This was almost a year ago. It was done at Vodacom at Mall of Africa. I have gone there twice to sort it out and both times they sent me home with new instructions saying I have done something wrong. They eventually admitted that there is something wrong with the sim card that they had given me and that I will have to PAY for a new one. Since I did not have time to wait for them that day, I went to several other Vodacom branches at a later stage for assistance on this and was told they cannot assist me. Also, on this contract, i was told that they cannot do a sim swap for me and that the next day when my contract has been activated, I need to go to another Vodacom branch to get a new sim card and get a sim swap done for my main device. However, for my partner and my sister, all of this was done on the same day when the contract was done.

The manager at East Rand Mall attempted to assist with this matter by phoning the MOA branch, however, was not ale to assist. He advised that it seems as though the SIM card was never even activated.

The contract I opened up on the day of transferring my sister's contract, also never had the Caller ID activated which is paying paid for.

We have phoned the East Rand Mall vodacom branch about this query several times and each time we are promised that we will be contacted by the relevnat people to sort this out. Of course this never happned.

I tried to call again today several times, but to no avail. What a surprise ...
