On Monday I went to Vodacom, Bedford Square, where I signed a contract for a ****le and data for my laptop, with the manager, Melissa. I was told that the contract would take about 2 hours to come into effect. Two and a half hours later, I received an sms from Vodacom to say that my contract had been processed. I then tried to use the data, but got a message to say that I had already used all my data! I phoned the call centre and gave them my name, ID number, address, email address where account is sent, bank name and account type and could not give them the account number of the new account, so was told that I failed the security check so they could not help me further! I then phoned the manager at Bedford Square who had processed my order, Melissa, and she told me that I had to come in to Vodacom to have it sorted. I checked with her that she would be available to see me on Wednesday afternoon, which she confirmed. I then took time from work again to go in yesterday afternoon. I waited 10 minutes to see Melissa. She then told me that I needed to see the technician to check my SIM card. I waited a further 20 minutes for the technician,Lindiwe, as she was helping another customer. Lindiwe then checked my SIM card and told me that the reason it wouldn't work was because I had used up all my data!! I reminded her that I was there because the contract was new and still wasn't working. She then told me that she had to refer me back to Melissa. She went to call Melissa from their back room, and I waited another 20 minutes for Melissa to appear. She remianed in her back room, knowing I was waiting for her. As I have a full time job, I then had to leave as I could no longer waste any further time sitting around. I am now on Day 4 of a contract that doesn't work! Should I cancel this contract now and find a service provider who is willing to help me?
