Useless call centre assistance

2018-05-06 I phoned Vodacom customer care to ask if an old Vodacom SIM card of mine is still active and if I can any load data on it for Wi-Fi use. Nokthula says line is open and useable, I can load data on it and I can use it. I load the data, but my Wi-Fi is not able to access the data on the SIM. Next I spoke with Nthabiseng that notifies me that the SIM card is under admin lock and she will deactivate it for me. I just need to load R29 on the SIM for it to work, wait five minutes and then make use of my data. I do this 10 minutes later, STILL not able to make use of SIM. Next I spoke with Zalele, she says she will send a network sync ; internet APL settings. Give it 20 minutes and retest. Still no joy!!!! Next I spoke with Nikezwa that tells me I need to load the R29 via a voucher (I made use of the FNB APP), and phone 136. She says if I do not do this, the SIM will never work. Obviously I am not going to waste any more money on this SIM!! Next I spoke to Lebohang that keeps me on hold for long periods and knows nothing. He says my number has been recycled and reallocated. This number can not work, yet all the previous consultants asked security questions and confirm the number is mine. Next I spoke to Nokthula again, she says they can not help anymore I must go to a Vodacom store. 2018-05-07 spoke next with Shameer that is apparently the wrong department. Spoke next to Nonhlanhla which says I must go to Scriber Collection Department. The Scriber Collection Department says I must speak with the Forensic Department. Spoke to Nonhlanhla again which says to remove the admin lock it will take seven working days. Unacceptable thus I phone again and speak with Philisiswe which says I must go to Scriber Collection Department, since then I was unable to get through to Scriber Collection Department. Next I spoke with Lerato that says I must go to the Forensic Department, she has me on hold for 5 minutes. I ask her for the direct number for the Forensic Department. She gives me ********** 000 that comes through to Vodacom’s main switchboard that is unable to assist. Lerato gave me a secondary number ********** 605 that does not exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS\AM furious with the pathetic service. This took approximately 5 hours!!!!! I will never make use of Vodacom again. If I had the choice between no phone or internet service or Vodacom, I would choose to stay without it!!!!!

Sane Ressouw at the Vodacom store in Centurion gave me brilliant service and manage to remove the admin lock and after this I was able to make use of this SIM. She struggled 2 hours with the pathetic Vodacom Call Centre. Thank you Sane Ressouw for great service!
