Useless
I am actually writing this in distress and concern at how the economy has so many service providers lure customers to think these companies are for the community and actually not. I spoke to a consultant today who was very helpful with every details of the query I had , I just forgot her name but she had an ear to lend and was brilliant at the service she rendered.
I am a month away from giving birth and unfortunately my employer will not be remunerating for maternity leave so as other companies in most countries nothing new right. I contacted Vodacom to find out if they can assist me with a payment plan (Like how my car finance agreed to put payment on hold and insurance who gave me a cut on premium based on this exact same scenario for monies way over what I am currently paying here by these people) and they point blank advised you need to sort it out with debt collectors when you miss your next payment , they can't assist to avoid you going into arears prior that. So basically I have to have a negative record in my name bare in mind I've been with Vodacom contract and have never missed payment over 5 years and they are not willing to look into the issue and see how they can assist me. I never said I am not willing to pay however I have explained to them that UIF has also been in a backlog for over 2 months and you go there and advised to come back after birth because they're doing manual submissions. So I cannot guarantee them that the funds will be in my account sooner. I have a family member who went on maternity leave and back to work while she was still waiting for her UIF. I am just disappointed and in disbelief in Vodacom at this point.
