Urgent Follow-Up: Vodacom's Unacceptable Delay in Account Cancellation

I am writing to follow up on my previous reviews regarding my ongoing struggle to cancel my Vodacom account. As of today, December 11, 2024, I have yet to receive any written communication or resolution to my requests, despite multiple attempts to reach out since May 2024.

Continued Lack of Communication: It has now been over a month since my last update on November 20, 2024, where I expressed my frustration at the absence of communication from Vodacom. I have repeatedly requested written confirmation regarding my account cancellation and the call logs that document my numerous attempts to cancel. Instead of receiving the necessary support and information, I have only encountered generic responses that fail to address my specific concerns.

Impact on My Credit Score: This ongoing issue has not only caused significant distress but has also negatively impacted my credit score. I have been billed continuously despite assurances that my account would transition to a prepaid status after one final month's bill. This situation is unacceptable and reflects poorly on Vodacom's customer service practices.

Request for Immediate Action I urge Vodacom once again to take immediate action by: * Providing written confirmation of my account cancellation. * Supplying the call logs related to my cancellation requests. * Ensuring that all future correspondence is conducted in writing, as previously requested.

For your reference, you can reach me directly at ***.

If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to escalate my complaint by contacting the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) and the National Consumer Commission (NCC). The lack of accountability and transparency in this process is concerning. I hope this review prompts Vodacom to address these issues seriously and improve their customer service for all affected customers.

Regards,

Completely outraged and done with Vodacom’s ******* antics
