Urgent Complaint: Failure to Cancel Services and Unauthorized Debit.

Urgent Complaint: Failure to Cancel Services and Unauthorized Debit Orders

Dear Vodacom Customer Service,

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the handling of my account (Account Number: I***) and the cancellation request for the cell numbers *** and ***. Despite numerous attempts to rectify the situation, I am deeply disappointed with the lack of action and accountability from Vodacom's side.

On 5th April 2023, I made a payment totaling R18,000+ directly to Vodacom in order to settle any outstanding amounts and requested the cancellation of the aforementioned cell numbers. Additionally, I followed the prescribed procedure by sending an email to ***, providing all necessary details for the cancellation request.

Since then, I have made over 50 calls to Vodacom's customer service representatives, each time being assured that the issue would be resolved promptly. However, to my dismay, no progress has been made. Despite the cancellation request and the substantial payment made, Vodacom continues to debit my account, causing significant financial strain and negatively impacting my credit score.

This continued disregard for my request and the unauthorized debits from my account are unacceptable. It is clear that there has been a severe failure in communication and action within Vodacom's customer service department, resulting in a severe inconvenience and financial loss on my part.

I urge you to immediately rectify this situation by:

1. Cancelling the cell numbers *** and *** as per my initial request. 2. Ceasing any further debits from my account related to these cancelled services. 3. Providing a refund for any unauthorized debits made after the cancellation request was initiated. 4. Conducting a thorough investigation into the mishandling of my account and the failure to process the cancellation request in a timely manner.

Failure to address this matter promptly and adequately will leave me with no choice but to escalate this complaint to relevant consumer protection authorities and seek legal action to recover any financial losses incurred due to Vodacom's negligence.

I expect a swift and satisfactory resolution to this matter and request confirmation of the actions taken within the next seven days. Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint at your earliest convenience.

Sincerely, Janil Nana ***

Hi at the time of cancellation nothing was mentioned about the current invoice had I been notified I would have paid it and also since April 5th 2023 there hasn't been any invoice provided or sent to me so to my knowledge the account was settled.....I think I will now revert to the relevant consumer legal protection agencies.
