Upset, annoyed and despondent with Vodacom Manager Service
Good Day, I am not sure who this email will reach, but I am at the end of my tether with Vodacom. My wife and I have been Vodacom customers for years now and when we eventually managed to get out under the Telkom thumb, thought it would be a good idea to have our fibre line with Vodacom as well. (SO FAR THIS SEEMS TO BE A HUGE MISTAKE). I did online enquiries with Vuma about a fibre line at our home. (there is an existing Vuma installation), when I entered my details, I realised that I rather needed to call Vodacom. I cancelled the Vuma enquiry. (or so I thought). I called Vodacom on Tuesday 29 September and received amazing service from the sales department. We added the fibre line to my wife’s account and all was approved in no time at all. RAM delivered the router on Thursday afternoon. VERY VERY happy so far. Then the problems began. I called the Vodacom help line and spoke with Marlon. He said that as it was evening it might be hard to find someone to activate the line, but he would try to make it happen.(NOTHING) Friday afternoon I spoke with Gary. He also assured me that it would happen. (NOTHING). On Saturday, I spoke with Vick and he was the first one to walk me through the steps and give me a SR number, but as it was weekend and staff were few, he was not sure if it would be active. I called on Monday, and was told it would be escalated. I called on Tuesday and was told that there was an open order on the line and so it could not be activated. This makes me think that the people before who said they would get the line activated are a bunch of *****. This should have been picked up on Friday already. I then called Vuma who said that it was because I did not complete the order that it shows an open order. (This is completely ********* as I cancelled with them, telephonically and on the web). The representative then suggested that if I cancel with him it will take 48hours to take effect and that I should rather complete the online order. Receive a VC number and the call Vodacom to tell them to allocate the new VC number to my current order. This will allow them to activate the line. I called Vodacom yet again and gave them the information that I was given from Vuma. I spoke with Willmarie. I was assured by her that she would call me back. (no call). The new number is VC-28***6. I explained that this number needs to be allocated to our order (SO***). I was told that this needed to be verified and that it would be escalated. (NO RESPONSE). I called Tuesday evening and was told that an email would be sent to one of the managers to get back to me in the morning. Up until now I have had no response. I called again on Wednesday and was given this email. It is shocking that as a customer, I have had to call so many times, waste my time with incompetence, not once have I been called. Do you really want or need my business? I am looking for at least one manager who will be a manager. I expect this to be rectified and my line active by the time I return home at 17:00. Please respond urgently. ***
