Upgrading taking nearly 2 months already

I have been very patient but I cannot keep quiet about this process of nearly 2 months to upgrade and get a working phone…

June 7th first upgraded online (Apple CPO deal).

Vodacom incorrectly upgraded without a handset (apparently system issue), cancelled upgrade.

Upgraded again, this time with the handset.

Finally received handset after waiting quite a while to deliver (longer than advised).

Headset not working, logged the issue, waited weeks for the pick-up, no pick up.

Called and arranged for pickup of handset again, and finally picked up.

Waited for over a week (more than advised 4 days) before calling to confirm cancellation processed.

Not processed, therefore logged the cancellation and told my upgrade date will be reset today (2 August) to be able to get a new phone/upgrade.

Interestingly I checked and my upgrade has not been reset from 2019 to 2017, now it even reads next upgrade only 2021.

Then I have been double charged for my handset cost (twice for the first month), previous handset payment finished May 2017.

Logged a request to sort out with no response or correction, and now have been debited this wrong amount.

Note positive point, I was granted a free gig of data somewhere during the process to apologise for the inconvenience.

So right now I have paid for an upgrade fee, handset charge for 2 months, and only had a (faulty) headset for less than a week out of the 2 months.

Are you going to charge me for the 2 months (plus maybe a 3rd depending how long this takes) of a faulty headset based on the original upgrade?

Are you going to fix the double charge for the headset?

When upgrading now again, if I can get my cancellation sorted, are you going to charge me again for another upgrade fee?

Am I going to wait 2 weeks to process the upgrade and deliver the new upgrade again?

This is now a week from the feeedback I received here and no one has contacted me. I have in the mean time phoned again twice and I get the same story that the cancellation is in progress. I have also not seen anything done on the overcharging of my account, to correct it and to credit my account with the money that you overcharged me with. So currently after more than 2 months I am sitting with no phone, being charged for a new contract, charged double for a new phone, charged for upgrading and I have no idea if anyone is listening in Vodacom that can help me to correct this?

With some additional push/follow up from my end things have been remedied. The new upgrade has been a lot faster than the previous attempt, I would suggest that you do that for all clients not only after issues arise. Then I will keep an eye on my bill for next month but according to the feedback this should be fixed now.

The bill for the month after the fix was correct, but we are back to the same triple billing the month after that, being charged for 3 handsets in place of just one.
