I was a customer with Altech Autopage, but has been transferred to Vodacom when Autopage closed. According to my profile on Vodacom's website, I was due for an upgrade on 10 June 2016.

I am interested in a certain phone (it is a special that will end on 6 July 2016), but is currently unable to upgrade because:

1. According to Vocadom, there has been a transfer in ownership of our account. I have already provided proof that I have had my mobile number since the year 2000 and that my husband has been the account holder since day one, and still is. This was NOT a number or account purchased from some one else!

2. According to Vodacom, the "previous" owner had an outstanding amount on his account. ??!!

3. When looking on Vodacom's system, my contract is shown as 28 months, not 24 months.... May 2014 until Spetember 2016. ???

4. Apparently I still have to pay an ADDITIONAL R270 per month plus the new monthly contract amount! Their system shows that I still have not paid my handset in full. Have I not started payment on this since my upgrade in May 2014? Shouldn't it have been fully paid by now? The payment is deducted monthly via debit order, and there has never been a problem with payment.

Our local Vodacom store is struggling to get feedback regarding my situation from Vodacom's head office. I have been struggling since Friday 16 June 2016. No-one is replying to messages that our local branch is sending, When replies are received, the content thereof is meaningless. I want the situation to be solved BEFORE 6 July 2016.

I have been looking forward being a customer of Vodacom, after Altech Autopage, but has had a rude awakening!! Vodacom wake up and help me to get my problem sorted!!!
