I have had my contract with Vodacom for 18 years, and have always been super happy with them, until now.

I decided to, for the first time ever, upgrade my contract online.

When capturing the delivery address, I captured the unit number (6) and the building number (3) separately, however, when I received my order confirmation, it merged those two numbers into one and made it 63, I hoped that this was just an error with the email template, and since they had my contact details, I thought they would phone me if they didn't find the address.

I had placed the order on Saturday 20 May, and I phoned Vodacom on Wednesday 24 May to find out the progress of my order, the lady told me that it takes 7 working days to process the order and that it would be deliverd the following week Tuesday (30 May).

When I phoned today (31 May) to again enquire about the progress of my order, I was told that they tried to deliver on Tuesday 23 May, and that the address was wrong so they couldn't deliver. I could not get an answer as to why no one phoned me, or as to why the website made that huge error with my address. All I was told was that I now have to wait till Monday 5 June for the phone to be returned and then I must call again to arrange for delivery again!!

This is very frustrating, I have been very patiently waiting for my phone, and through no mistake of mine, I have to wait even longer now.

And to top it all off, I was hoping to email Vodacom directly to complain about this, but I cannot find an email address for them, their website says: "we have temporarily replaced the email function. To get in contact with us, please call our Customer Care on 082 111", and customer care is who I spoke to in the first place, and they diverted me to sales, who then told me I must wait and call again on Monday. So I had no choice, other than to publicly complain online.
