Upgrades department **** to me about the cost of the package
I received a phone call from a lady in the upgrades department who told me that I was due for an upgrade. I said that I was waiting for the iPhone 8 to come out and would upgrade then. She suggested that I switch to another package in the interim to save money on my invoice every month and buy the phone outright when it launched. I agreed and we spent some time discussing various options to suit my requirements. We eventually settled on a Large + package which she said includes 600 minutes and 1 gb of data for R329 per month. During the process, she told me more than once that the call was being recorded.
I have just received a higher than normal invoice and spoke to Que in the accounts department. She tells me that the package that I have been "upgraded" to is R719 per month which I dispute.
As a matter of urgency, I require the following: 1. a copy of the call attached to my account to be retrieved and transcribed 2. written confirmation that the package that I have been moved to will be invoiced at R329 per month 3. the invoice/statement dated 3/9/2017 to be reversed and corrected 4. confirmation that appropriate action has been taken against the service agent who 'assisted' me 5. an undertaking from Vodacom that they will not allow their employees or representatives to **** customers in this manner going forward.
If I don't receive these 5 things within the next 72 hours, I will pursue legal action.
Regards Clare
