Upgrade with incorrect billing
I did an upgrade which was accepted on 31/08/2020 at 14.21 via sms with the contractual amount on a reduced subscription for 24 months. Proof of sms: Dear customer, we have received your order: Device Name:Samsung Galaxy A21s 32GB Blue Provisional Contract Start Date:08/2020 Provisional Contract End Date:08/2022 Monthly Subscription:190.9965 Please select from options below: 1 Confirm 2 Change Deal 3Reject I clicked on the number 1 and accepted the contract on the basis of the sms as the policy stated the full amount without discount sent at 14.08pm via email. The retentions consultant Thulani Mona advised its month end so i must accept the contract amount based on the sms sent. He assured me i will not pay the higher amount. I was not going to take another Vodacom contract as i was offered a cheaper quote from another service provider. I called Billing on 04/12/2020 and spoke to Philamon who confirmed the reduced subscription is no longer reflecting and he would escalate to the solutions team to correct this, i was given a reference 1-**********6263. On 07/12/2020 i receive an sms stating my query is closed and the original contract emailed. THIS IS NOT WHAT I ACCEPTED THE CONTRACT ON, please look at the date and time of the email and sms. His team leader Tshdeza Ramavela also confirmed i do no need to worry as the reduced subscription is valid for 24 months. Please do not get anyone from the billing department to call me as they unable to assist. I want this to be reversed to the amount promised by the retentions consultant as per sms confirmation upon me accepting this contract. He did tell me his calls are recorded so i won’t have an issue. I spoke 2 consultants from retentions, Philile and Latisa, they were still listening into the call recordings and was supposed to feedback 28 January 2021 before their shift ended at 6pm. I did not receive closure on this matter as its still pending the investigation and what was promised to me by the consultant Thulani. Awaiting a call from them. THIS IS NOT RESOLVED DO NOT MISLEAD YOUR CLIENTS..... i await a response.
