Upgrade of wrong data contract - mission to get it corrected.
I have 4 contracts with Vodacom of which 3 were upgradable at the beginning of March. I have been researching my options and decide to upgrade my data contract. I popped in at the Sonieke Vodashop on Friday 2 March on my way to buy some groceries at the local PicknPay. The female sales assistant advise that I needed my ID which I had on me. I advised that I did not know the number of the data contract I wanted to upgrade and provide my mobile Device UChoose More Data 2GB number for her to look it up. I even too the extra ****le with the contract and signed the paper work. I even asked can I start using the ****le in the meantime until the new contract kicks in , which I was advise yes I can.
2 weeks later I was looking through the booklet trying to make up my mind about my other contracts that I could upgrade when I notice that the contract I signed seem to have the mobile device number as the upgradable number which was wrong. I took my monthly statements and copy invoices to the Vodacom branch where the male sales consultant check and ensured me that the right hand corner Cellular number is only a contact number reference not the number that is going to be upgrade. When I got up and walked away he mumble something. The female sales lady was busy with an old gentleman on his laptop and WhatsApp. The male sales assistant even leaned over to the female assistant verifying the question I asked.
On Sunday 1 April the new contract activated on the wrong DATA contract, where is supposed have been the ****le associated data contract as stated it activated on my mobile device UChoose more data 2GB contract. I was LIVID. I called customer support, they put me through to accounts who advise I need to go to the branch as the branch deals with another trade department. Customer support has the trading hours that the specific branch is open on a Sunday. Arrive there they closed.
On 2nd April on the public holiday I visit the branch. I threw my toys out the cot, screamed at the manager when he wanted to talk about their procedures, of he can log the request , it will take 48 hours. He logged my request. I was there again the next day. He told me sorry they can only fix it in the new month. I need to buy my own airtime. I was there after the 19th. I lost my free airtime minutes and sms bundle and the 2GB. The 30GB was suppose to be on my DATA contract not UChoose contract.. He advise he spoke to his sales assistants and they acknowledged that I was there but I did not advise that the wrong contract was upgrade. please explained to me then what the heck did I go there for then !??? I also got advised that the branch cannot provide me with proof of me receiving the upgrade sms and that it was sent to my ****le device number - which I have 2 of and no where I can find that sms - I get the prices of what Wool is costs- heck knows why. I only received an sms to answer 4 questions regarding the sales assistant services. Customer support nor branch can provide me with proof. They logged me a request for credit - I got a confirmation that it is approve but no where I can see what it is for and what amount. My logic tells me since the wrong contract has been cancelled I should be signing a contract for the correct number but now the branch manager tells me that he first needs to request Vodacom to reopen the package deal as it is no longer available and I must come in again and waste petrol to come sign this new contract. I think I have screamed at more that 5 people in the first week of April. From the customer support to the branch manager. I still don't know if my accounts will be in order come the new month as I cannot get any paper work nor proper assistance. Vodacom has become so high headed they do not care about their customers. When it comes to Vodacom upgrades I want to run the other way as I have had such bad experiences the past couple of years. From a VERY ANNOYED AND ANGRY customer.
