UPGRADE of contract

This is and e-mail sends to Vodacom social media department on 18/05/2016 11:30 AM

I phoned the upgrade department on 4 May 2016 and upgrade to the SAMSUNG Galaxy A3. I was told by Nelly from the upgrade department that I will also receive a tablet with 100meg data for free. The quotation was send to me via e-mail and I have accepted the quotation and e-mailed the signed quotation back to Vodacom on 06 May 2016.

I have contacted the upgrade department on several occasions but did not receive my hand set and tablet as stipulated in the quotation. On 12 May 2016 I spoke to Sufyan at the upgrade department, he promised to phone me back within an hour but did not. I phoned on 12 May again the upgrade department at 10:43 and spoke to Lebohang and was told that the order will be escalated. On 13 May 2016 I phoned the upgrade department and spoke to Graim, who previously also promised to phone me back but never did. Graim told me there was no order number for some or other reason the “new” system did not generate an order number. I lost my cool and said a lot of things to him.

My wife also sends an e-mail to this address and Jabulile phoned me back on 13 May 2016. Later the afternoon of 13 May 2016 Jabulile phoned me back to confirm that someone from the upgrade department phoned me but I informed her nobody phoned me she took it up and 20 minutes later Malika from the upgrade department phoned me back en said that my order has been escalated. Jabulile phoned me again and I confirmed that I was phoned.

Today 18 May 2016 I phoned the upgrade department again to find out what is the progress just to be told by Tshego that my order was cancelled without informing me. What is Vodacom doing? Why must I struggle just to do an upgrade?

I have accepted the quotation that was send to me by Vodacom and I except nothing ells that what was quoted and I have agreed on.

I again contacted the upgrade department on 19 May 2016. I demanded to speak to the call centre consultant’s supervisor and was transferred to Justus. I explained my problem to him and he told me it is the system. I said that I do not take that as an excuse as the system is not a live thing but worked on by a person. I told him that I have agreed and accepted the quotation and I want what was promised to me. Justus told me that due to the fact that they are working on a new system they experience some errors and my order were cancelled due to the fact that they do not have stock of the 2015 Samsung galaxy A3 but only of the 2016 model. This year is almost half gone? I said that I want the Samsung galaxy A3 and the Vodafone tablet with 100meg data for 12 months as per the quotation. Justus told me that he will phone me back within 20 to 30 minutes. My experience with all the people working at Vodacom is that they NEVER phone back. After 30 minutes I phoned the upgrade department again and asked to speak to Justus but were told that he is busy speaking with the warehouse and he will phone me back.

I phoned again after more than 2 hours and requested to speak to Justus. I was informed that he finished work for the day and went home. Justus NEVER phoned me back. I requested to speak to the supervisor of Justus and was the transferred to Moos King. I explained my problem to him, Moos King, I lost my cool and said more than I had too. Moos King informed me that I must e-mail the quotation to him and he will contact me on 20 May 2016. I have send the e-mail to him at 15:11 on 19 May 2016.

Today 20 May 2016, 2 weeks after I accepted and e-mail the quotation back to Vodacom and I do not have the new handset or the tablet that I was promised. Moos King did NOT contacted me.

I want to receive my Samsung Galaxy A3 and Vodafone tablet with 100meg data and price as indicated on the quotation.

Morne du Plessis
