Upgrade nightmare after Vodacom admit credit issues were their error

For months there was a technical error on my red-advantage account (by Vodacom's own written admissions) which resulted in me being unable to purchase in-bundle data and consequently in my average phone account being in excess of R5 000 (FIVE THOUSAND RAND) per month, for well over a year. Vodacom eventually agreed to rectify this and credited my account with around R10 000. Over this period I, after notifying Vodacom accordingly, cancelled my debit order to stop the ridiculous amounts going off my bank account and was told that I should only pay the account after the relevant credit note was passed (which I did, on a monthly basis). The technical and billing error seems to now be rectified however I am now due an upgrade and when I go in store to finalise same, I am told that I cannot do an upgrade (or even take the non-finance option to purchase the phone of my choice) due to the late payments on my account (which were occasioned as a result of Vodacom's own technical error). After being with the network for over 15 years and having a good credit score, this has been dealt with in an embarrassingly insufficent manner by Vodacom. If my account standing is not rectified immediately (after several attempts already in store) I intend cancelling my contract and pursuing legal action against the company.

I received a brief email on 20 Feb asking for further details, which were immediately provided. Despite another 2 follow ups from my side, no one has made any contact with me or attempted to rectify the issue. I am now left with no option but to take legal action.
