Good day sir,
I sincerely hope you can be of assistance as I have been battling the whole day with the upgrades and accounts department of Vodacom.
I was liable for an upgrade on nr ********** , which is a Samsung tablet. I did the upgrade online on 19 March 2019 and received my new device on 25 March 2019. I have downloaded all the applications I need, bought a screen protector and case for the tablet.
I however received my account this morning, and noticed that there was no change to my billing for my tablet – which according to me should be a bit more this month as I am paying for 2 devices. Then I saw that an upgrade shows on another number of mine which is my vodacom router – nr ********** . According to me my router was only liable for an upgrade end April 2019….
So after I have spoken to the consultant who assisted me with the online upgrade, I was informed that they could not fix this error. The new devise, which I have been using for 3 weeks, on which I’ve spend money on, must now be returned to Vodacom, and a new upgrade on the CORRECT number will have to be done.
Now, I am NOT returning the devise. Are Vodacom going to compensate me for the money spend on the devise with the screen protector and data I used to get the tablet working as I want it?
Why can’t they correct it on the system? Credit the incorrect account, debit the correct one, and get the dates corrected for future upgrades on the two different numbers.
I was not planning on upgrading my router, now I am stuck with a 24 month contract because VODACOM made the error.
I would really appreciate urgent feedback on this, as I am not the one at fault. Surely the consultant should have seen that the number he are doing an upgrade on are not even due for an upgrade!
And once again, I WILL NOT RETURN THE DEVISE AN LOOSE MONEY BECAUSE OF VODACOM’S ERROR.
I need this internally fixed between my two accounts.
Best regards,
