Dear Vodacom

I need to get this problem sorted out now as I am at my wits end. Over a month ago (end October) I phoned the Vodacom customer service regarding my upgrade. I saw a deal in the Vodacom book on page 43, as per my pic below. I discussed the deal with the sales consultant on the phone and he confirmed that this was a deal I could upgrade to for my business, but would first have to do a change of ownership from a personal profile to a business ownership. He told me that once I have changed ownership thje upgrade could take place. He told me I could do all of this over the phone and to call ********** to do a change of ownership.

Next step: I phoned ********** only to be told I had to go to a Vodacom shop to change ownership.

So I went to the Vodacom Shop at The Glen Shopping centre. The consultant that helped us was called Emelio. Emelio got a Vodacom magazine and I pointed out to him the deal that I wanted to upgrade to, page 43, iPhone7 32GB for R899 pm x 24 on a Smart XL and as per the small print in the magazine: Smart XL 700Anytime minutesPM 800MB Data PM 800 Anytime SMSs PM. This was confirmed by Emelio as was done by the customer service call centre worker the previous day.

Emelio changed ownership for us, did the upgrade, took the SIM card details etc etc etc and off I walked all happy with my new iPhone 7.

Later that same day, around 4:30 I get a phonecall from Emelio from Vodacom at The Glen, stating that all of a sudden this deal is only available to new customers and not upgrades. I checked and re-checked the Vodacom magazine and this is not stated anywhere.

So I went back to Vodacom shop at The Glen and spent another hour there truing to get this resolved only to leave with it unresolved as Emelio said he would handle it and contact me. By Friday I still had not heard from Emelio and decided to phone the Vodacom Business customer care. I spoke to a lovely and helpful lady called Katie, email address, ********** and she told me that the deal was definitely available as advertised and that I was eligible to upgrade to this deal. She said that there was an order on my number from the Glen and I must get them to cancel that for me so she could do the upgrade. I contacted the Glen shop asked them to cancel the order and sent Katie an email with a letter requesting the upgrade.

Katie came back to me and told me to get a credit score done for the business as she could not complete the upgrade. I spent the rest of Friday on the phone with various Vodacom customer care people being transferred from one person to the next and only to be cut off time and again. Eventually a lady, whose name I unfortunately dont have spoke to me and said that she was putting a note and request on the system for me requesting the credit score to be done and the upgrade as this deal was to expire on the Sunday 6 November.

On Saturday 5 November I went to the Vodacom4U shop at Greenstone Shopping centre and asked them to do the credit score for me. At this shop I was told that the Vodacom system was down, but that the consultant would keep trying throughout the day. We eventually received a SMS of somekind later the day, stating that Vodacom is dealing with our request.

On Monday I was back on the phone with Emelio, I explained all that had happened and he assured me that he would resolve the matter and get back to me......

Nothing happened, not a word from Emelio... So I phoned the Glen, Emelio was not available, so I spoke to another agent from the Glen shop. She informed me that Emelio had not informed them of what was happening and she only became aware of the issue the day before, but that it was all in hand and she would be resolving it for me. I should just give her a couple of days and she would phone me back.

Again I never heard back, so I phoned in about a week later and then Jade from Vodacom Shop at The Glen relayed a message to me from I am assuming some kind of manager in the shop that it was all done and the migration will take place on 1 December.

So yesterday, 30 November we get a SMS stating that the migration has completed. We phone Vodacom 111 to make sure what we have been upgraded to. The consultant says that as far as he can see it is Smart XL, but only 400 minutes. I explained the whole story to him and he advised that I should phone back today.

I phoned back today and was told again only 400 minutes. This is not the deal I app**** for and want. I was then put on a conference call with Vodacom shop at The Glen and spoke to Fortune an Assistant Manager, I had to again explain the whole story and then Fortune would not believe that it is 700minutes, so I had to scan a copy of the page to her, luckily I still had my old magazine. Then Fortune continues to tell me it is a PRINTING ERROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a joke!!!!! I will not accept this after everything I have been through. Fortune said she would discuss this with her FSC and get back to me. After about an hour and a half Fortune calls back to say that her FSC agrees it is a printing error and they cannot do anything.

This is completely unacceptable and it better be sorted out by Vodacom NOW, as it was clearly a deal that was available at the time that I app**** for it, this exact deal was confirmed to me to exist over the phone by various Vodacom employees and NOW they want to tell me it is a printing error and they cannot do anything about it, I have to accept a deal with 400 minutes. That is 300 minutes less that the advertised deal and the deal that I app**** for and wanted to upgrade to.

I will not accept this under any circumstances.

I need immediate feedback, as this is a coplete breach of contract and i will not tollerate the incompetance from Vodacom any longer.

Please revert back to me immediately and put me in contact with whom ever I need to talk to resolve this.

Please also note that I will be spreading my story as far and wide as I possibly can, Vodacom cannot treat customers like this and not be held accountable.
