Untrained / *********** Staff

1st August 2023 To whom it may concern Vodacom contacted me -+ 7th July 2023 offering upgrades on my 3 contracts. After having to explain and repeat myself several times, I thought that the consultant had everything right. The next morning the consultant called again, I said that it was not a good time as I was at work. She proceeded to explain something about my one contracts that was not what we had agreed upon the previous afternoon. When I got home that afternoon, I immediately called Vodacom upgrades department to discuss the matter. The upgrade was not what we had discussed, so I requested that it be cancelled. Was informed that they could not cancel, but when the device gets delivered I must not accept and say that I had already spoken to Vodacom to cancel the upgrade. It took a couple of days to get that issue sorted (so I thought). On the 26th July I received a call from Vodacom to inform me that my Data contract would be more expensive than what was discussed, I then also enquired about my 3rd contract as it appeared to me that none of the upgrades were what was initially discussed and accepted. I was told to contact Cancellations on ***, which I did. I requested that the upgrades on my 072 and 082 numbers be cancelled as they were not what I had agreed to. On the 27th July I called again to cancel my 072 contract as it was due to end on 31st August and with all the misleading and false information I had received in the past 2 weeks, I had reached a point that I did not want to have anymore dealings with Vodacom and would cancel the remaining 2 contracts as they reached their end. I was offered an alternate upgrade which would come into effect as from 1st August, a quote was sent to me and I accepted. I phoned a second time to cancel my 071 contract as it will be ending quite soon too. The woman I spoke to was going to look into upgrades on my 071 and 082 numbers. There was some or other glitch in the system and she promised to call me the Saturday (I’m still waiting for her call). On Monday, 31st July, I saw that the upgrade on the 072 number had been activated and +- 9GB Data was taken away. I called on Monday afternoon to query the upgrade being activated prior to the 1st August and what had happened to my Data. The woman was unable to assist and I was also informed that the upgrade on the 082 number had not been cancelled. That was when I reached out to social media. This afternoon, as promised, Jabulile from Social Media called to discuss my issues. She kindly activated 9GB on my 072 number. Unfortunately due to Vodacom systems she was not able to cancel the 082 upgrade, but will request a reversal and do the necessary cancellation on 1st September. I do understand her limitations to the systems, but find it totally unacceptable that l (the long standing client +- 17years) have to be inconvenienced and have had to make numerous call and spend countless hours speaking to various consultants trying to sort out the mess that Vodacom made on all my contracts due to untrained, *********** staff and all they can say is sorry for the inconvenience.
