unsolicited attempts to subscribe to R3 a day services

I keep on getting unsolicited messages, not even an sms, just a pop up on my sceen, "click OK to subscribe to ****** for R3 a day" etc. and there is no easy way of blocking them. I am no lawyer, but this does not seem in line with the consumer protection acts references of fair business practices

Dear Vodacom

Thank you for getting in touch with me, and thank you for putting me on a "block 3rd party subscriptions list", however I have a, how shall I put this, small problem, I am receiving some unsolicited messages, its not an SMS, it appears directly on my screen saying "Vodata Claim your place in Quizinc and stand a chance to win R1.5 mill in AIRTIME R3.00/day Ts and Cs apply, click OK to accept . OK. CANCEL" every 30 seconds for the last 20 minutes. I cannot use parts of my screen for fear of clicking OK. please resolve this. I have had no feedback from the last time I was contacted. my phone said something about the messages arriving with "sim toolkit". its very difficult to you the phone with all these unsolicited messages coming through. I have literally received about 20 messages while typing this. please resolve this or I will be forced to change to another network

also, please let me know if you have stopped these messages going out to everyone, because I consider this type of message that is not an SMS, that pops up on your home screen on your phone with an OK button an incredibly unfair business practice, and im no lawyer, but im guessing and reasonable interpretation of the words "fair business practice" does not include this type of unsolicited advertising

and when I try to talk to someone from vodacom, there is no one to be found, I cannot get through to anyone, and the messages are arriving literally every 30s. thank goodness for Hellopeter, otherwise I would have literally no way of contacting you regarding this problem

the only way I managed to get the messages to stop was to "force stop" the simtoolkit in the settings
