************ debt collector

So a two years ago I changed jobs and cell phone number (still with Vodacom), but had 3 months left on my current contract. Vodacom said it's fine to cancel the contract because I did not build a handset into the deal - (after all I am a customer for over 15 years.)

Today I received a threat from this obnoxious person from some debt collection agency wanting to issue judgements against me.

She claims I owe R 7,000.00 to Vodacom. (Now maybe her calculator's battery is flat but 3 months x R 1,000.00 subscription = R 3,000.00)

So this is how Vodacom treats its loyal customers; no phone call, just hand them over to debt collectors, after they said it's fine to cancel the contract.

Lesson learnt: ALWAYS GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING - and keep those records
