Unsatisfactory, Horrible, Abysmal service
If I could, I would give them 0 stars. As someone creating a contract with them for the first time my experience has been nothing but horrible.
1. I ordered their Iphone special online for R999 on the 28th of July 2026, submitted the application and my application was "errored" as they say, without any communication from them. I then called their customer center to which they resubmitted my application and this was on the 30th of July. The Agent by the name of Akhona then told me she would send an email requesting my documents in an hour. a week later, with no email, I call them again, and that's when Akhona decided to send an amail request for my documents, and this was on the 4th of August 2026. I then send her my documents, after 48 hours with no feedback from her, I sent her a follow up email, which she did not respond to.
I then called Vodacom again to enquire what was happening, I spoke to another agent who then told me that the special has ended and I would have to take another one. I asked for Akhona's supervisor so I could escalate her, and the supervisor told me that the special was advertised wrong. I was frustrated but decided to let it go, and told her to put through my application for the new special, which would charge me R1 099. I said that's fine, I just wanted the phones at this point.
Contract application was processed, to which I received a quote on the 12th of August 2026, and I thought my problems were over.
I had to call Vodacom multiple times to follow up on my delivery for weeks. and in the past week they tried to debit my account for these phones. Fortunately I had moved money out of that account, so the transaction bounced, I called them and they could not even give me a straight answer. And finally, after bugging them with calls, I received my order yesterday on the 2nd of September 2026.
2. Now my order is here, it's missing a second simcard. I call them today to find out why my order is missing a 2nd sim card. To which their response is "Sorry mam, you will have to pay for the delivery of the simcard, or go to the store to pick it up". How the heck is it my fault that their delivery was not complete, why should I have to foot the bill for that or go through the trouble of going to the store. I purchased everything online for a reason.
Is this how Vodacom treats their customers? As a first time Vodacom user, this is horrible, I would not recommend it, and at this point they can come and take their phones back and cancel my contract, I don't want them anymore.
Where is my simcard, I need a way forward
