Uns****ed employees and manager

On Friday 18 November, I needed to have the corporate line converted to my personal account. I had all the necessary paperwork, barring one form which no other branch had required from my colleagues who are doing the same. Nobody in the store, nor the young gentleman who helped me had the necessary s****s / knowledge to process the transaction without continously needing to phone their helpdesk. About an hour later, I had reached boiling point and asked to see the manager, who believes and relayed to me that the Vodacom Shop was "not a customer service store". Needless to say that hearing that pushed me over the brink of anger which I had been on. After more than what felt like longer than the hour and a half, after I had taken the time to choose an alternative contract to the one I had originally wanted as none of the stores contacted had stock of the phone, I left the store. Only to realise after my anger had cooled that I had selected a u-choose 150 Hawei P9 lite (with selfie stick) in the catalogue as it was the contract that after many questions, I showed the consultant I wanted. I had left the store without the selfie stick and upon enquiry via email in last week, I have now been told that if I checked the document which I signed, I would see that the selfie stick is not included and that there is nothing to be done.

The level of (non) service offered by this store does Vodacom a huge disservice! I have worked in the service industry for many years where customer service is of tantamount importance but to this manager and his staff, it would seem that their location may have something to do with their "offering" of service to their "clients", who they may, in fact, deem to be inhuman or not deserving of the same level of service one would expect from a brand such as Vodacom. It would seem that their "clients" may not be able to afford the same as those, such as Century City clients, who may be perceived to be wealthier and therefore do not deserve the same level of service or respect. The latter is simply my perception based on this experience.
