unresolved issue with Vodacom

I were contacted again on the 6th July. No progress at all and no solution to my request. I phoned Vodacom customer care today 26th July 2021 and talked to a wonderful lady by the name of Amanda Ngobeni and for the first time someone listened, put an effort behind my problem to resolve it and copy me in her communication and she did send me a reference number too. No else before gave me a ref no. that is so strange. The issue is that i were migrated from red select to red value and again from red value to Red business... what for ? I will never ever again agree on any Vodacom (or their 3ed party) offers via phone never and is will spread the "news" to others as well. The so called "saving" cost me R852.00 more on my total bill. The lady admit that they made a mistake and that the so called "new person" did in fact only quoted the new amount without the phone cost thereby she offered a cost saving and actually there were no cost saving at all... i think that iv wasn't a case of a new person not knowing, it was a deliberate plan to trick consumers into new expensive contracts as it is difficult times and everyone tries to profit on everyone lately. I think it is really sad that a reputable company like Vodacom allows this kind of practices and they should be aware of it.The initial person who delt with me were Randall and he also called me and agreed that it wasnt correctly handled at all. David at the customer call cente witch i initially called also agreed that it wasn't fair and he escalated the issue as well. He also said that this happens quit frequintly and that the 3ed party company should rectify it. The company phoned and admit the mistake but listen to this one "the lady said i must pat R2,500.00 to Vodacom to reverse back to the previous plan although she admid to the mistake . How sick is that ? Remember i were on Redselect then moved to red vallue on March 31 then moved again from red vallue to red business what for ? To save money and then paying R850.00 more ! She even said the saving was due to the government forsed cell phone companies to cut cost to consumers what a lie ! Hopefully this issue which is now escalated for review and to migrate me back to my previous contract and resolve my refund request. If not resolved then my last option will be social media and the consumer council. Please make sure that this issue is resolved as it gets more expensive and difficult to resolve as time pass on. I have another bad experience from Vodacom. This time from the Vodacom fiber business.

I experienced shut down after shutdown from Vodacom fiber.

Eventually I found out that the issue were at frogfoot as they experience high volume "traffic" and new customers on their network resulting in technical issues and it always happened round about 16h00 to 18h00 PM. My busiest time at my guesthouse as clients want to work. But frequently shutdowns make it impossible to connect to the internet.

My problem were that Vodacom always escalate he issue and never resolve it in time or gave me no feedback. I were in the dark and my clients too as they think I **** to them. This caused me damage as they need connectivity especially these days during Covert- lockdown and work from home situations.

Vodacom also did not want to give me a fixed IP for my cameras. If so they will bill me an additional fee for that.

The Vodacom router gave me endless technical problems and I just couldn't handle it anymore.

My local ISP offered me a cheaper rate for the same down and upload speed including free fixed IP and local technicians to assist me on any technical problem including my Wi-Fi requirements. Although it is with frogfoot as well the service will improve as it will be handled via my existing service provider locally.

Now what is the issue?

My problem with Vodacom is that they refuse to release the fiber line to Frogfoot and they block my migration to Frogfoot or my local ISPN in Polokwane (Bosveld communications).

I have been without internet since the 1st of July 2021 and it caused me significant problems in running my business. My ISPN also lodged a complaint at Icasa and I will do the same.

I called Vodacom and the lady Lorain (very help full lady) at customer services escalated the issue and the ref no is: SR***.

Why do Vodacom do this it damaged my business. I also ask for a legal opinion.

Vodacom did inform me that they will move me back to the previous package without charging me the migration cost witch i am thankfull for.
My question is Vodacom admitted that the lady who delt with the upgrdade were untrained and did not mention the complete cost including the fhone premium included but rather quoted me a so called lower premium and saving witch wer in fact more expensive.
Vodacom have to refund me the additional cost on my bill since the so called "upgrade" or migration to the Red bussiness package ± R850.00/month for 3 months.
Why do Vodacom not fully re-install me to my previous position Red vallue ?
