Unprofessional Upgrade at Vodacom
My experience with Vodacom Business was really bad;23 Feb I was contacted by a Consultant at Vodacom to say I qualified for an Upgrade. I told her I would like a quote on an I-phone 12 mini and received a quote for an I-phone 12 and an Apple watch;not what I had requested On 5 March I contacted Nizam at Vodashop in Potch Mooi Mall and asked for a quote on the above:I was informed my quote was still pending and had to be cancelled before I could upgrade at the Vodashop which I did on said day and was contacted twice by Vodacom to ask if I really wanted to cancel the quote and the again to say it had been cancelled and could upgrade at the Vodashop I travelled to Potch on 6March to do my upgrade and was told the quote had not been cancelled;I immediately contacted Vodacom business and spent 30 min on a call with Sipho;he called back to say the quote was cancelled by his Manager but it would take 24 hours to go through I returned home having travelled 120 km with nothing achieved On 13 March I contacted Vodashop and travelled to Potch again where I was informed that I had to pay R1360 more than the original quote which I refused to do as the fault was with Vodacom and not me;it was a matter of principle Subsequently I received a message from Vodacom to inform me my request for credit was being investigated I have been a loyal supporter of Vodacom since 1995 but am seriously considering migrating to another Service Provider as I cannot understand that an upgrade can take four weeks especially due to their incompetence I await a response from Vodacom which is realistic before my final decision The problem in South Africa is that people are appointed to do jobs they cannot do and there is no accountability Dr Peter Shahim
