Unprofessional service and staff
We went into the Vodacom 4U Cape Gate store on Tuesday the 22nd to take out a brand new contract on the business name- We selected and agreed on the iPhone 6, 32 GB on a Smart M+ Package for R449 per month as displayed in the current Vodacom book. We were then advised that we would need to wait awhile for credit vetting etc (Apparently this is BS as credit vetting takes a few mins) and to come pack later during the week. Yesterday we called to follow up and the Vodacom 4U store advised that the iPhone is ready for collection. When we arrived at the store we stood and waited for service for a very long time- as the staff were too busy having private conversations with each-other and were way too busy on social media! Eventually we had to walk over to a consultant and request assistance. The consultant initially had an attitude with us, but after advising him to drop the "attitude" he become polite and assisted with the setup of the new device. On checking of the paper work we noticed that the girl who put through the deal had not put in the agreed amount of R449 PM, but R479 PM- So we had advised the consultant of this and he called over his colleague "Jaco"- who not once greeted us and spoke as if us as the customers weren't even sitting in the store. After awhile they advised us that the deal for R449 isn't available, So we reminded them that it is currently advised in the Vodacom booklet. So they said we could bring it over another time and then we can get the iPhone back. We then went and collected the Vodacom booklet from our vehicle and brought it back to the store. We had to then wait awhile again! Whilst we waited we were looking at the Vodacom booklet when "Jaco" came from behind and grabbed the booklet from us without ANY form of communication- How ****** UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We then sat and waited for 20 + Mins (could have been more) whilst the consultants made a huge noise in the back room- sounded like a PARTY. Eventually the girl who's name starts with a J (She has a blonde hair and is chubby) who we initially signed the contract up with on Tuesday walked in and was told to come assist us. on questioning the consultant (mentioned above) : She become very rude, defensive and very unprofessional!! We advised her that we are not happy and to cancel the deal. I requested a manager, but seems she never called a manager as no manager ever appeared from the back and no manager bothered to call us after we walked out the store. We were left with a sour taste in our mouths after the terrible service!!! Seems like the "Customer" does not come first in this store. We then went downstairs to the Vodacom Cape Gate and a friendly consultant helped us process the contract as we initially agreed on.- Compliment to Michelle! We would like disciplinary steps taken against Jaco and the female consultant whos name starts with J. I am sure Vodacom doesn't want staff like this.
