UNPROFESSIONAL CALL CENTER AGENT

Year after year I grow increasingly disappointed in Vodacom, so much so that I've been adamant I would leave as each contract comes to a close and even when calling to cancel a contract their service standards only served to fuel my desire to leave.

I already have an issue with their adamant statement that they cannot proceed without me giving my ID number in full over the phone which I do not feel comfortable with. Especially when it's still very fresh in my mind how an African male pretended to be me and opened a new contract and racked up a R16000 bill on my name causing Vodacom to block my lines. They then made me go to the police to write up an affidavit when the ***** would have clearly been identified just by looking at the paperwork vs what they had on file previously. Now they absolutely HAVE to have my ID number over the phone in order to cancel a line?

Anyway, that issue aside, Nhlanhla Thebe (the agent who I first went through to) was so unprofessional and downright cheeky. Perhaps he was flustered by how upset I was getting, but the manner in which he addressed me was actually **********. He had some nerve talking to me like I was his friend and he could talk to me however he liked and even reprimand me over the phone.
