Unprofessional and taking money off account
Re: Account no: ***6-7 S.M. Hoffman My annual contract with Vodacom finished a long time ago. Vodacom kept phoning to get me to take out a new contract, saying I could get a better deal. Previous attempts to work with Vodacom on the phone had proved disastrous so on 11 September 2021 I went to Blue Route, the nearest Vodacom branch. After a very long wait in the queue an assistant told me I didn’t have to take out a new contract, but since my phone is already insured with my household insurance, I could stop paying that, which would halve my monthly payments which have been R557-00 a month. On 12 September, the day after my visit to Vodacom store I received another invoice for the same amount, R557-00. On 30 September 2021 I received another invoice for the same amount, R557-00. On 12 October 2021 I received another invoice for the same amount R557-00. There was no indication that my directive to take off the amount for insurance has been processed. I telephoned the Vodacom helpline on 15 October for help. A very kind lady told me she had cancelled the insurance on my account and assured me that my next invoice would be almost half the R557-00 usually charged. After my telephone call to Vodacom, I received another call from Vodacom to ensure that the information is correct and I was again assured all would be well. I then received an SMS from Vodacom confirming that the insurance has now been removed from my account. Nonetheless, on Wednesday 3 November 2021, I was notified that Vodacom has again taken the usual R557-00 off my account. I would like to know what must be done to get the credit I deserve, and to prevent Vodacom from taking money off my account indefinitely. I find their service utterly unprofessional and entirely disrespectful
