********l and unauthorised upgrade of contract.

Yesterday (16 February 2017) shortly before 14h00 a person named Thomas from Afrizon phoned me on behalf of Vodacom saying that my cell phone contract is due for an upgrade. I said very firmly that I do not want to upgrade by phone but will go to a Vodshop. He asked for my ID number to verify my profile and I gave it to him. Next thing I received an sms as follows: "Dear Anna Coetzee, your Upgrade Order 1- ********** ********** for your Vodacom number ********** 966 has been completed." I spent more than an hour on the phone to Vodacom who confirmed that an upgrade without a device has been done. I spoke to at least 6 different people during 2 phonecalls, was promised twice that the contract upgrade was reversed, but today it still shows as a processed upgrade. Vodacom today advised me to phone Afrizon itself as they are unable to reverse the upgrade. Afrizon answers by switchboard menu and any number that is pressed disconnects the call. I feel that Vodacom refuses to accept accountability for its sub contractors and I am left in the lurch. I will definitely change to another network as this is the worst possible service. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED as I have been a loyal, paying customer with 4 contracts for many, many years. My husband took out his first contract with Vodacom in 1996. I feel this was a dishonest procedure as I did NOT give permission for an upgrade and I feel that I have been treated unfairly.
