******** DEDUCTIONS/SUBSCRIPTIONS

I have a data contract with Vodacom. This has been in place since 2014. The monthly charge for the data contract is R169. Yesterday I checked my data limit and noted that the balance was standing at around R200. This was a shock to me in that the data had not been exhausted or exceeded. I called Vodacom to enquire and I was told that I had subscribed to an sms service called Go Go Girls which in turn was deducting about R6 per day. I was really shocked as I had never subscribed to any sms service. Vodacom indicates that it has nothing to do with them but I feel this is wrong. I have a contract with Vodacom. When I asked them how is it possible that a subscription is loaded on their platform in such a way I am told that this service providers send sms to customers inviting one to the subscription and if one ignores the sms it is loaded automatically and start deducting money. This is wrong. Vodacom must take responsibility. I signed a contract with Vodacom. This amounts to theft. Vodacom further refuses my request to change the number. All they have done so far has been to assure me that they have now unsubscribed me from the service. I want the money deducted to be paid back.
