Unknowingly being Charged for Content Services ~ it’s *********!

Last month I went to renew one of our company contracts. (We have only ever used Vodacom)

While we waited I asked the salesperson to check my Acc and see if there’s any way I could be saving, as my account has gone up in recent months.

The salesperson told me I had subscribed to something (he could not tell me what it was - but I was being charged approx. R200 extra a month on content services.) He showed me the screen when I started asking what and why... but couldn’t explain why I was being charged more.

I am fuming. No one can show me where I have formally subscribed to anything additional on my account.

What makes matters worse is that we are debited monthly and we’ve always assumed Vodacom was a honest and trustworthy company!

Apparently this addition was added in March ‘18. So I have paid a minimum of R2000 for something I have no idea about!

I think it’s disgusting that you can be signed up for something and charged exorbitant fees with no formal notification.

Prior to this I have never even heard of ‘content services’ I’ve aleays been happy with Vodacom and had no reason to query anything. It’s cast a negative shadow over the way in which you work.

Without my actual consent - who has the right to add anything to my Vodacom account. (It’s *********!)

I’m now scared I’m going to be charged and not know it. The sales person at the Vodacom store showed me how to check what’s been added to my account by using *111# but I think it’s shocking that the customer needs to keep checking in order to know she’s not being ****med!

I’d love to hear back from you regarding this matter as I refuse to Be charged for something I have no knowledge about.

Dear Vodacom Team, I have still yet to have any contact from anyone from Vodacom. Sending an auto response doesn’t mean the problem is solved.
