Unjustified enrichment by Vodacom at the expense of clients

I approached Vodacom SA and requested that thy should review what I am currently paying for my home unlimited FIBRE. I had already investigated that I can save at least R300 by taking a different product with a service provider. I gave them the opportunity first to propose something different and avoid inconvenience associated with migration. They flatly refused. I guess they must have been used to the money I am currently paying. I found a suitable product at a significant costs saving. When I tried to change to the new service provider, Vodacom changed their position. They offered me a different product at the same price as what I got in the market. I took this as I did not want to be inconvenienced by changing.. My worst nightmare happed. I did not have internet for 2 weeks. There was a technical issue between Vodacom and Vumatel. it took literally two weeks to resolve. I found myself in a position where I had no home internet connection from Vodacom. I ran out of data on my Vodacom Work modem. The only option that I could think of was to connect via my Vodacom cellphone data through my company cellphone. Vodacom charged my company an additional R5 940.12 for the out of bundle data on my phone. My employers requested that U refund this money. I am extremely disappointed with Vodacom. I was not only inconvenienced for two weeks. I suffered a financial loss to the value of R5 940.12 because of this. (1) If I consider that I approached Vodacom first to try and get a better product from them. (2) They took 2 weeks to resolve this issue. I was seriously inconvenienced as I work from home as much as I work from the office. To think that Vodacom benefitted financially at my expense because of this deal just makes me sad. its an example of company that prioritizes profits, it does not matter the impact on clients. I mean, how much data I could have used that costs R5 940.12? is this out of bundles high charges even ethical? This considering that I have 3 different products with Vodacom all meant to provide me with data. but Vodacom still sees it necessary to take R5 940.12 for two weeks of data? Shocking
