UNILATERAL FEE INCREASE (NOT 01 APRIL 24 APPLICABLE, BUT THEREAFTER) AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Vodacom I have been your client for many many years now, and again you unilaterally increase my monthly fees. I am not referring to the increase on 01 April 24 which I accept, but the further increase which was implemented on 01 July 24. Upon calling in today, I spoke to 3 different men of which 2 were completely *********** in relaying to me the reason for the unilateral increase and the amount by which the increase has taken effect based on a discounted "add-on". I then spoke to Vusi a supervisor who was in the process of assisting me but low and behold disappeared from the line. The amount of time spent on the phone and not having any resolution thereafter is absolutely unacceptable. It would seem that since I have not received any clarity on this further increase and you are taking my money without my consent that I am at the point where I will be cancelling with you. Giving discounts to your clients to hold on to them and then reneging on those amounts once you have locked your clients in (so in my case once I had signed up for a further period and added a further device to my package), is completely ********* and tantamount to breach. SHOCKING SERVICE!!!!!!

Vodacom 2 business days have passed and not one telephone call or email received. Posting automated responses to customers' complaints in order for it to seem as though you are taking complaints seriously but thereafter not following through, just proves the lack of or non-existent customer service. SHOCKING!!!!!!!! In fact I am still waiting for the email that was allegedly sent by the first Vodacom representative when I called in previously. I WILL be cancelling my contract first thing tomorrow morning and moving to a service provider who wants to keep their customers.

So Vodacom called and I was basically advised that if I don't like the add on increase then I can leave. Either you pay more or you decide to go which will cost you too. Extremely unfair that in both instances I am being forced to pay Vodacom money. Perhaps it's time for the ombudsman. Show me where in the T&C's this is stated ... The rep didn't even offer to send me this because it's ALL nonsense. Good bye Vodacom. Good riddance ... Inflation is affecting everyone!
