Unhelpful and milking me for money!!!!!
I was diagnosed with cancer and became unemployed at the same time last year. I had just changed over to a Pay As You Go number (closed my account), and was looking forward to finalising the last contract I had with Vodacom. Suddenly I was told I owe them money for internet usage during my last month with them (contract 1). Then they kept removing any airtime or data my family would send me - stating it was some VAS service for music I was signed up to, which is impossible and ********** since it showed I was not signed up for anything. So I threw away that sim card and went to Cell C. In the meantime the last contract came due and I duly gave the one month's notice. I was still in arrears, being unemployed, and wrote to Vodacom stating I would catch up when I could. I finally became employed again and every month went to Vodacom and paid R1000 or R500, whatever I could afford. Two months ago I paid the last amount, as per the person in the Vodacom shop, only to find out this month that I still owed R2087.00. So instead of arguing, last week I paid that in full. Only to find out that I apparently owed R3600.00, not R2087.00. I have tried to call Vodacom, with no luck. I have been in to Vodacom shops. And, as I was handed over to attorneys, I obtained the attorney's number from the Vodacom shop and guess what? NO REPLY. EVER! So I must pay and pay and pay and pay and the contracts never get closed, ever! I believe this is ******* and it is causing my health to deteriorate too fast. I need this resolved, final amount owing, and anything to do with Vodacom GONE out of my life. Help.
