Unhappy with Vodacom/Vodacom repair escalations
23 January 2024 i took out a contract with Vodacom at Protea Glen Mall for a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+64GB *** for my son to use at school since they are using tablets at school. The device stopped to connect to the WiFi. i went to Vodacom at Protea Glen so they can test it and see what is the problem. I was advised by Princess to take it to Vodacom Jabulani Mall as they have a technician on site to assist. on the 24/02/2024 i went to Vodacom Jabulani Mall and Desmond who is an onsite technician tested the device and booked the device in (Job Cart no:***7).
7 March 2024 I went to go pick up the tablet Desmond tested the device still the device doesn't pick up the Wifi and the Sim card the same day Desmond booked it in (Job Cart ***8 with an urgent sticker on). 21 March i went to go pick up the tablet since i got an sms that the device is ready. I called before going to pick it up that the device is working a Lady called Angel said the device is working, when i got there i got Desmond again he is so helpful he knows what he is doing. still he tested the device same error. He sent an email to Kevin Richer,Joanne Ottto and vdcarcrcqueries to assist.
On the 03/04/2024 i went to go fetch the tablet still the tablet has the same issue and they said it has no issues. my son has already fallen behind with his term one work cause he doesn't have the resource to do his school work. i asked if they can give me a spare device so he can use meantime, the shop didn't have, i asked if they can give me a new device since am a paying customer and being debited for a device that is not on me it is at repairs. they booked it in again and Desmond sent an email to Senzo Gama regarding the issue and even sent pictures and Job Carts still no respond. Sent an email to Vodacom Repairs Escalations regarding the problem i have and even requested for a new device since the device is giving problem .
Porsche from Vodacom Repairs Escalations responded to my email asking for the device details and if the device is still with me or repairs. i advised that the device is still with repairs and they have aked Winnie to rebook the device again for the 3rd time.
On the the 8/04/2024 i got an email from Porshe that the "device was tested and could not replicate a fault on it. A software upgrade has been done and the device also passed Quality Assurance". I asked for a new device sinec i dont want that device anymore as per Porsche i quote again "at this point the Senior technician will not approve an exchange if they are unable to replicate a fault" today 12/04/2024 i got an email from Desmond saying the device still has the same issue and it is not working.
am very unhappy with Vodacom actually very disappointed at the repair centre how they dealt with this problem. I have been paying for a device that is not in my hands but at vodacom. it is term 2 and my son is falling back with his school work i have no alternative as they dont use cellphones at school. Can Vodacom cancel my contract and refund me back my money and keep their device since it is no longer mine. am so disappointed with their service.
