Unhappy with Vodacom
I was told that I wasn’t going to get a reply to my query from Vodacom and my only slim chance to hear from them was to put this on Hello Peter. Whether they reply to me is up to Vodacom.
This afternoon 19/01/2018, I went to Vodacom Shop at Baywest Shopping Centre in PE. I requested a Data package and the Consultant brought up my existing details and proceeded to fill in the application form. After a few minutes she phone VODACOM and informed them that she couldn’t complete the application because she needed to put some details but the computer wouldn’t allow her to proceed. They did something and she completed the application a few minutes later. Then she informed me that my application was rejected because I wasn’t handling my account correctly. I told the consultant that this was not true or possible. She told me that she heard this story many times before from customers. I took offence to this.
The facts are that I have 2 accounts at Vodacom. The one account (I ********** -7) started in 1993/94 when Cell phones started in SA. The second account (NA130392-1) started at about the same time and was brought over to Vodacom from Autopage. Never did I miss a single payment. I never had a conversation with Vodacom about these accounts being outstanding.
I am not desperate to buy anything from Vodacom and I can buy Data from other providers. I can also port my numbers to the other providers. That’s not the point.
As a Loyal customer of Vodacom for more than 20 years, I think I deserve to know why my application was refused, in writing.
