Unhappy Vodacom paying customer
Dear Vodacom Executive Directors,
I believe that I am writing this on behalf of many residents of South Africa, too feeling that their complaint will not be given the necessary attention, because how do I stand a chance against this multi-billion Rand giant.
Since I was a young girl of I think 13 years old I have been a customer of yours with the same number for probably over 20 years now. I have never missed a payment to you and I do hope that means something these days, however I am a sceptic and it probably does not unless you know my name in your high circles.
For the past few months I have been a very unhappy Vodacom customer because earlier this year, I fell for their marketing schemes (again) where a very friendly lady promised (on behalf of Vodacom) me a deal I could not resist. I needed this promised laptop deal because I was in the middle of making a very big decision to invest to start my own small business. Needless to say, the Office 365 that was promised to accompany the package deal did not arrive and I phoned Vodacom to cancel the deal and have the package collected and this was in less than 2 weeks, 11 days to be exact. According to a third person I spoke to at a very reputable courier company whom I shall not mention here; the package was received and signed for by myself on 20 February 2023 at 10:41 am and again collected from me on 2 March 2023 and received and signed for at one of the Vodacom facilities by a person who I do not want to mention here on the 6th of March at 10:44 with the reference V2p*** Vodacom Collection Advisors. My problem is that up until today I am still being billed for this laptop deal which definitely feels that Vodacom is *****ing from me and my question is why? Why is this necessary and why is it so easy for you to sell something to us, your trusted and valued clients who takes the offer in good faith, but it is not easy to retrace your steps or do the right thing? It goes on because I phoned numerous Vodacom numbers that I found online and the people there have either dropped the call, made me hold the line for over ten minutes, unaccomadating and plain useless. I’ve also searched the internet for options on how to deal with the issue, which takes me in circles and then there is the information I got from two physical Vodacom stores – but this one sticks with me: “We can’t do anything for you, you must complain to Hello Peter and WASP.OR” – I’ve never heard of this one.
Not only am I sitting with an amount being deducted from my account every month for which I have nothing to show, I would also like to know if Vodacom will be reimbursing me for the past few months of, that is if I ever am assisted.
Now, at my wits end, the next step is to cancel all known business I have with Vodacom. I will ask my husband to do the same and take his business contracts to your competitor, this is going on social media and other forms of open media I may find because there is no other way to be heard inside the Vodacom giant.
If you would like to contact me, I favour this chance so please do so.
Attentive regards,
Anita Hanekom
It has been over three weeks since I’ve written my first complaint on Hellopeter. Do you mean to say more complaints need to be written to solve an uncomplex issue?
Nothing has been communicated to me in over two weeks? What is happening?
Again you will be debiting the inflated amount from my account which I haven’t getting anything for. What do you call that? *****ing I would say.
Please get this done!
