Unhappy customer
For more than 23 years I have been Vodacom loyal contract customer and had never defaulted on my monthly payments of my accounts. Last year 2019, around September when i requested for the contracts to be converted to prepaid accounts I realized that Vodacom have been billing for devices on three contracted numbers which were long paid up. I then queried and requested to be refunded accordingly to no success. I have know referred the matter to the National Consumer Council. Subsequently my name has been registered as a defaulter on the credit bureau system. i further requested Vodacom to give details on which account have I defaulted and nothing is coming from Vodacom. I'm really appalled by this ********* behaviour displayed by staff who decided to turn a blind eye on my concern. for what is worth i hope the powers that be at Vodacom follow up on my concern hereby raised.I hope this is an isolated case which is really unfortunate.
I was called by the guy named Lance (working for hellopeter responsible for Vodacom). 2 days ago he asked me when did I cancel my account and I told him between Sep/Oct 2019. Today he calls and tells me that there are no recordings of me calling during that time, the only recordings they can find are those in July for 3 seconds and Oct 2019. He then indicated that I cancelled my account in Dec 2019 according to the recordings and I know (he also know) that it is not correct. Then I asked him to send me the Dec 2019 recordings he then started to raise his voice that that is against their policy and he cannot send me the recordings. My question is, granted recordings are Vodacom's property that they use when they conduct their investigations however as a customer rebutting the allegation am I not suppose to have access to listen to the recordings? This Lance had an audacity to cut-off the call on me - wow!
So my query is still open to be resolved.
