Unhappy Client

I took out a contract with Vodacom for a ****le/modem. This contract came up for renewal and I was contacted via the telephone on the 12 July 2017 with regards to upgrading it. I agreed over the telephone but a few days later realised that this was not actually suiting my current needs. I went into the Shelly Beach South Coast mall branch of Vodacom and spoke to one of the sales assistants and we decided that a wifi portable modem with a bigger data usage was more suitable.

On the 30 August I phoned to request for an upgrade reversal and cancellation of the contract that was obtained telephonically. The cellular No was ********** 044. I was assured that this would be done immediately and that the initial fee of R150 plus VAT would be reversed. Reference No for the call was 1- ********** ********** .

This was not done and no reversal came through and I was billed the R109.00. I have subsequently been charged R109.00 since July 2017 and I have never used the 2Gig data modem at all.

I phoned again on the 9th February 2018 querying this fact and was advised that once again the contract would be reversed and cancelled and that the 7 months plus the initial admin fee would be reversed. Reference no 1- ********** ********** . After this call I was credited with R171.00 which I understand to be the initial admin fee but none of the 7months R109.00 were credited. I went into the Vodacom store on the 12 March 2018 to again complain about the fact I am still been charged and the assistant phoned the cancellations department for me. Reference No 1- ********** ********** .

My request to you is for assistance to get back the monthly charges of R109.00 that have been taken from my account since August last year.
