Unfairly treatment
Being a Vodacom client has been a nightmare. I entered into a 24-month contract for an iPhone 12 through Vodacom's online sale in November or December 2022. When I tried to upgrade in February 2025, I was shocked to be told by an agent that my contract was actually for 36 months.
I lodged a dispute, and an investigation was launched. By the end of March, Ms. Claudia and Lorato Patience from the aftersales team informed me that the recording confirmed the contract was indeed supposed to be for 24 months. They cleared the matter, and I was told I could upgrade.
To my surprise, my April 2025 invoice shows an amount of R2,520.02 (including VAT) due to a "breach of contract." However, I did not cancel the contract; the correction was made that the contract had come to an end. I called to lodge a complaint on Wednesday, but nothing has been done.
My concern is that my salary date is the 15th, and this amount will be debited, causing me significant inconvenience as I won't be able to meet my monthly needs. I kindly request urgent assistance.
