unfair treatment and illogical system in place

Dear Vodacom Customer Care,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the recent experience I had with Vodacom. As a loyal customer for over 25 years, I have always valued the service and products provided by Vodacom. However, I am compelled to bring to your attention the unfair treatment I have received in relation to my upgrade eligibility and contract options.
Due to a salary reduction as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, I made the responsible decision to place myself under debt review to avoid being blacklisted or having a negative impact on my credit score. Despite being due for an upgrade for over a year, I was unable to find a suitable mobile device within my budget until now. When I contacted the upgrades department, I was informed that I qualified for a device with a contract priced at R1,300 per month. However, I later discovered that the same phone was available with a significant discount for R699 with Vodacom.
To my dismay, I was then told that due to my debt review status, I only qualified for the more expensive R1,300 per month contract. This decision seems illogical and unfair, as it places me in a position of higher debt rather than offering an affordable contract option. Despite my efforts to seek assistance and resolve this issue, none of the consultants were able to provide a satisfactory solution.
As a long-standing customer, I am deeply disappointed by the lack of consideration and understanding shown in this matter. I urge Vodacom to review my case and provide a fair and reasonable solution that aligns with my financial circumstances and loyalty as a customer.
I trust that Vodacom will take this matter seriously and address it promptly to restore my confidence in the company's commitment to customer satisfaction.
I look forward to a swift and satisfactory resolution to this issue.
Sincerely,
Z Marks
I am writing to express my disappointment and confusion regarding the package contract options for the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. I recently inquired about the possibility of obtaining the phone through a package contract at the rate of R699 per month for 36 months. I was surprised to learn that I do not qualify for this option due to my current enrollment in a debt review program.
What perplexes me is that I do qualify for a package contract with the same phone at a significantly higher rate of R1518 per month for the same 36 month period. It seems counterintuitive that I would be considered a viable candidate for a higher debt obligation while being denied the opportunity to participate in a more financially manageable option.
I am dedicated to managing my debt responsibly and am frustrated that I am being encouraged to take on a larger financial burden when a more affordable option is available. It is disheartening to be met with persuasion from your consultants to pursue the higher cost option, especially when I am trying to make prudent financial decisions.
I urge you to reconsider your policy and criteria for package contract eligibility, as it seems illogical that I would be encouraged to assume a higher debt in order to obtain the phone I desire. I believe that the package at R699 per month would be a more suitable and responsible choice for my current financial circumstances.
I hope that you will review this matter and provide a more coherent and equitable solution for customers like myself who are striving to manage their debt wisely.
Sincerely,
