Unfair Treatment

Job ********** 1

I type this with utter disgust at the manner in which Vodacom has treated me after being with you guys for so long.

I took another contract with you people in Aug/Sep last and to date the phone has gone in for repairs TWICE for:

• 1st occasion, phone didn’t want to charge and the battery and charging pin had to be replaced • 2nd occasion, the phone screen just died on me (bear in mind this was on the 30th of Nov 2018), THE BATTERY and screen had to be replaced

So in essence this phone’s battery supposedly has been replaced TWICE.

My frustration has been, when I went to the store after they failed after 2 days to call me and alert me what was happening to the phone, I spoke to a gentleman “manager” by the name Abdul Ebrahim, who advised that the phone cannot be replaced by them after I requested it be replaced due to the fact that to me it seems that this phone is faulty. I then called customer service to see if I could be advised and I had no joy, I was told that queries would be logged to your back office AND I WILL BE CALLED BACK WITH feedback and guess what, THAT NEVER HAPPENED. I was told by the lady (think her name is Pearl) this morning that the query logged on my behalf on Friday last week has been closed as I was advised that I need to go to the store where I took out the contract for assistance (I never received such advise/sms), I spoke to Siba a few minutes ago who advised me the query logged by the agent I spoke to this morning has been closed with the same feedback.

Now my frustration, the store I took out the contract with was at the old Discovery building in Sandton and when we relocated to the current building, that store didn’t move with us (in all honesty here, wouldn’t I have just gone to the same store initially when the phone gave me issues? Come on! I don’t know if they shut down completely or relocated)

My request is simple

I DO NOT WANT THIS FAULTY phone anymore as it has gone in for repairs and the same thing (battery) had to be “replaced”. I request that you replace the phone with another phone of the same value or another Sony Experia.

Every month I pay my installments on time and this is how I am treated? I have been a loyal customer of Vodacom for many years (check when did I 1st take out a contract with you guys).

Your repair center didn’t even offer me a loan phone (nor did they offer me 1 the 1st time the phone went in, I HAD TO ASK ABOUT IT)
