UNFAIR CONTRACT CONDITIONS
Dear Hello Peter, this is the second complain within weeks against Vodacom. The first complained was about a contract that was forced onto me through a devious marketing ploy by a Vodacom franchise in Durban. The goods were delivered even though I cancelled the contract..

On *** I was informed by Vodacom through SMS that my Smart L subscription will increase from R499.00 to R529.00 from 1 April 2015 (is this a joke?) For more info I had to visit the Vodacom Website.

Now, although the fine print in the contract may make provision for such increases I did not see that specific clause (yes, I know should have been more carefull, but I thought I dealt with a reputable company).

I worked with reputable contracts throughout my career. Contracts were never changed one sided. Amended contract were mutually agreed upon and signed by all parties concerned. We never just informed clients by SMS of contract changes, no matter how insignificant it was. Even words that were changed were mutually initialled. I have no option than to accept the subscription increase but this will be my last Vodacom contract. Shame on you Vodacom and good bye.

From your ex client.

MPC Minny
