Extremely disappointed, my claim has been declined based on the fact that the insured period is 12 months... I purchased a cell that included screen insurance and it is stated in the wording of the contract that it is 24 months, NOWHERE on my contract does it state 12 months. I took the phone into Vodacom repairs in Alberton where the claim was declined, I then went to the store where I purchased the phone and spoke to the Manager who then said he would take it up with higher management at Cellsure?? it was again declined based on the fact that it was apparently stated in a brochure which I did not even see. I signed a contract which included screen insurance valid for 24 months which is clearly stated on my contract. I never once saw a brochure, therefore I expect to have my claim approved - I knew exactly what phone I wanted and went in to purchase it, in fact, I spoke to 2 gents namely Graham from Vodacom Alberton branch about the Huawei vs the LG and again to a gent by the name of Jan a week or so later neither of the 2 branches in Alberton had the phone in stock so I went to Mall of the South; the upstairs branch did not have the colour I wanted (if I remember correctly ) and sent me downstairs where I duly did the purchase (why would I have wanted to look a t a brochure when I clearly new what I wanted)? This is disgusting and I will take this up with the Insurance Ombudsman. The screen insurance should have had some type of contract stating the Ts and Cs. On top of this I was told that I would need to pay an excess of R150-00 - why I do not have an insurance contract?? Additional to this, I paid to have my data backed up before Vodacom Repairs would book the phone in for an insurance quotation and then wanted me to pay for a rejected quotation (the manager waived this). THIS WILL BE GOING TO THE OMBUDSMAN - my upgrade is sue and I would like my screen repaired within its contract period.
