Unfair cancellation policy for sim-only contracts

The below is a quote taken from another customer with which I share the same issue. Vodacom are very quick to run to the T&C's of a contract but cant even deliver decent service. Speeds are poor due to either congested towers or being throttled. I used to get over 20mb speeds now I'm forced to live with speeds less than 2mb. Again as mentioned below, If I took a device then by all means the T&C's should be applicable but not for a sim only contract. You want me to pay R6132.75 to end the contract, then I expect you to give me the data which I'm paying for which is roughly 1.6TB worth of data.

"I'm shocked that Vodacom can still get away with unfair cancellation policies.

The policy is this: If you wanted to cancel your contract before the 24 month period, you have to pay the full monthly fee x 75% x the remaining months.

I can understand this for contracts where the user is essentially paying off a handset. But for a sim-only deal you are not paying anything off. Vodacom is simply charging you for 75% of the remaining months without you having used any minutes or data."

Well rest assured that this aint over. You'll be hearing from the CPA since you are unable to provide me with a decent service yet forcing me to stay binded in a 2year contract.
