Unfair Billing Practice
Vodacom has a stipulation that you need to provide them with one month's notice to terminate a contract. I did so on 1 December, phoned again on 29/12 and was assured that the December payment would be the last as the notice period app****. Guess what? I got billed for January, threw my toys out of the cot and the ***ard of a manager who promised to call me back in an hour following his investigation (Chris Naidu) has never called. All I received was an sms & email which confirmed that my request to have the number converted to prepaid (made 1 December) would take effect on 31/01. The customer pays for Vodacom's inability to stick to their own policy - how on God's green earth is this fair????? I now need to fork out money for a service which I did not budget for! This is not the first time which I have had an issue with Vodacom, the last time the ombudsman had to be involved for them to resolve an issue which they created by billing for equipment that was never requested neither received and it took about 6 months to resolve. Vodacom sucks big time!!! No consideration for their clients' circumstances - they contribute to their clients' struggles with impunity!
