UNFAIR BILLING

Dear Vodacom, I have been a loyal and good customer for the past few years. I have always paid my cellphone account on time, and there has never been problems. If you trace my payment history, then it will speak for itself. My credit history and name is of utmost importance to me.

I have recently travelled to Thailand and asked for data roaming and calling to be activated for in case of a emergency. However I switched off my mobile data when I was abroad, and made use of free wifi hotspots such as hotels and restaurants.

I unknowingly did not think I will be charged for data roaming by Vodacom for using FREE wifi internet. It doesn't make sense that if I have switched off MOBILE DATA and connect to an open wifi source you will still charge me data fees. In what way does free wifi affect Vodacom, and how can you charge me for data that VODACOM did not provide or provided through a alternative network?

I will be frank and keep this short: Your manner of doing business is sly for expecting me to pay data charges for services that was completely free too me and did not cost your company money.
