Unexplainable bill

Good day

This is now my last resort to get my voice heard

It has been more than 2 months that i am struggling to sort out my bill.

It started at first that VODACOM sent me an invoice for the amount of R 1600.00 at the end of February 2017 which they cannot explain as to why i am being charged R 1600.00 when my actual bill should have been R 877.00 plus R 369.00 (From my previous phone contract and as stated on the document i received on the recuring amount before the new contract kicks in) = R 1246.00. I want to know why is it that you charge me R 354.00 extra to my bill and when my debit order declines you do not let me know and just automatically charge me a penalty fee of R 100.00.

I disputed the above amount and was told that a query will be logged and i will get a response within 10 - 14 working days, which happened but no explaination as to why i need to pay an extra R 354.00 and was only told it is from my previous contract that i needed to pay, I KNOW THAT BUT WHY THE EXTRA R354.00???.

I paid the amount of R 877.00 during the month of March as i refused to pay to other amounts until i got an answer. At the end of March the amount got higher and now the total bill got to R 1812.00, still with no expalanation as to why the extra money has been charged to my account. Again the deibt order got declined and i was charged a penalty fee without letting me know or give me an explanation on the actual query i put in.

In April i paid again the amount of R 877.00 as i refuse to pay the otehr amounts until i have an expalanation. On the 26th of April me and my husband's phones were cut off due to the fact that i did not pay the other amounts (R369 + R354 = R723.00) as well as the 2 penalty fees which is now going at R 200.00.

I just gave up as i would not get an answer from VODACOM, i paid the amount of R 1700.00 on 26 April at the VODACOM shop and immediately after making the payment i give the account department of VODACOM a call to confirm that i have made payment of R 1700.00 and that the remaining amount of R 112.43 i will pay at the end of April when the debit order runs. I was told by the accounts lady that assisted me on the day that she can let the debit order run for the R 112.43 at the end of April which was fine with me. Came the 2nd of May they deducted again R 1812.43 after the long conversation i had with the accounts department. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

I immediately went to the bank to dispute the amount as i already paid R 1700.00 and spicifically asked that the amount be changed on the debit order to R 112.43. After disputing the amount the money was back into my account, BUT then i got penalised AGAIN with R 120.00 for disputing the amount that VODACOM deducted again.

On 12 May 2017, i noticed the afternoon that my phone was not working and had no signal, i immidiately called my husband to ask if his phone is working and his phone was also not working at all. VODACOM cut off our phones again but with no warning. WHY is this being done after i made payment and arrangements for payment on the oustanding balance?????????????

On 13 May 2017, my husband and I went to the nearest VODACOM shop and waited 1 hour 30min to be assisted by a manager as i was now fedup for this whole situation. After the long wait, the gentleman assisted us and called the accounts department. I told my whole story again to them just to hear that they will put in a query for this but i still need to pay the R112.43 that is in arrears (AFTER MAKING ARRANGEMENTS) and then they will activate our phones but they will charge us a fee of R 10 for each phone to be activated.

This got me fuming with anger, first of all, I now need to pay the penalty, which the charged me at the end of April for the amount that i disputed at the bank, which is AGAIN R100.00 (Which is not my fault as I did do my part as a customer to call accounts and make arrangements for the arrears payment and to change the debit order) as well as the activation of the Phones which is R 20.00 (Which is also not my fault!!) which comes to another R 120.00 on my bill added.

I have been spending money now more at VODACOM to fix my account than i would have if VODACOM just got back to me as to WHY???

I will not under any circumstances pay the R 120.00 for the penalty fee and the activation of the phones as YOUR accounts department messed up and now as a customer i must just pay, this is unacceptable and I have had it now with spendign unnecessary money that could have been avoided.

I have been with VODACOM since 2002 when i got my first phone from my parents as well as my husband and at this stage my husband and I will not renew our contracts with you and this will be the last contract.

I am disappointed as a loyal customer which pays the bill each and every month that you cannot even rectify such a minor thing.

I have lost my application for a house that i was busy buying due to this nonsence that i had to deal with for the past 2 and a half months as the bank saw that i was in arrears because no one could get back to me regarding a little query which i had

I want the following with immediate effect:

> You will take the R 120.00 off my account for the penalty fee and the activation of the phones before the next payment is due as i am refusing to pay this

On top of this whole scenario i just want to thank the sales persons below from VODACOM VAAL Shop for assisting me where they could and who understood my frustrations and anger:

> Mona

> Zelda

> Werner

> Jaco

You guys kept me calm as without you i would have lost it from the beginning
